Generals 08-09 Season Ticket Drive Underway |

FLINT, MI – Preparations for the 2008-2009 season for the Flint Generals have begun and the Season Ticket drive is underway. 
The Generals already have approximately 46 new seats sold for the season this fall and that number is only expected to rise as the summer moves along. Early bird season ticket pricing is currently available starting at $375 for Adults at Center Ice; Seniors 55 & Up $335; Students 11 to 21 years of age $279; Children 3 to 10 years $240. Prices for end zone are: Adults $285; Seniors 55 & Up $255; Students 11 to 21 years of age $210 and Children 3 to 10 years of age $175. The Flint Generals will offer season tickets for the 08-09 season at the 07-08 season regular prices until July 1st. In order to take advantage of this great savings, 2008-09 tickets must be paid in full by July 1st. |

Late Overtime goal ends Generals season |

PORT HURON, MI – The Flint Generals put up a tremendous effort in the fifth game of their playoff series against the Port Huron Icehawks on Friday night at McMorran Place Arena. But the Icehawks ended the Generals season 17:42 into overtime when Josh Aspenlind scored to win 4-3. The Icehawks win the best of seven series 4-1 and advance to their first Turner Cup final where they will await the winner of the Muskegon Fury and the Fort Wayne Komets. It’s Port Huron’s first professional hockey championship series appearance in almost 30 years. The Generals didn’t disappoint their fans in the game tonight playing a gritting game and really pushing hard towards the net all night long. The blue and gold didn’t quit even when the game was 3-1 and didn’t want to go down without a fight. |

FLINT, MI – When the Flint Generals have needed big victories during the past season they have come through with a team effort. Tonight the Generals will need one of those type of efforts in hopes of extending their season when they visit the Port Huron Icehawks in fifth game of their best-of-seven series. The face-off is set for 7:30 pm at McMorran Place Arena which is expected to be very loud and noisy for the contest. The Icehawks own a 3-1 lead in the series following two straight wins in Flint earlier in the week. If the Generals Friday’s game they would force a sixth game at Perani Arena and Event Center on Saturday night at 7:30 pm. Should a seventh and deciding game be necessary, then it would be back in Port Huron on Sunday at 6 pm. |
